Our Music Program Starts on a Great Note
Welcome to Max Evrard Pilgrim's new Choir Director. We also welcome Nick, the new section leader, to Pilgrim. We are glad to have Elena back with us again as well.
If you are interested in singing with the choir, come on over on Wednesday nights at 7:30pm. We welcome all folks to the choir. Also, handbells will be starting up again with their first rehearsal on September 30th right after worship. Anyone is invited to play. You don't have to know how or even read music. Just show up!
It's been said that the person who sings actually prays twice--once in music and once in words. Come join in a prayerful and fun experience.
TRANSITION TIME BULLETIN BOARDS
Have questions about the Interim time or what an Interim Pastor does? Check out the Transition Time Bulletin Boards in the Narthex. You'll find information about this transition time, what to expect in the months ahead and what work the congregation is embarking on to get ready to welcome a new pastor. More information will be added as Pilgrim moves forward in this process.
Exciting News from Pilgrim Church
We are very pleased to announce the hiring of Sean Watland to be Pilgrim's Director of Music, starting September 1st. Sean is a recent graduate (MM) of BU, with a degree in choral conducting. While at BU he was the Conducting Fellow of the Marsh Chapel Choir and has strong experience working with church choirs, in Illinois, Indiana, and Boston. He has worked with Methodist and Lutheran church choirs and the Boston Choral Ensemble.
In addition to planning the music and leading the choir, Sean will be working at Boston Trinity Academy in Hyde Park as the grade 6-12 choral director.
We want to extend a very warm welcome to Sean.
