Lexington Unites for Puerto Rico

Lexington Unites for Puerto Rico will host the Transforming Communities Gala at the Belmont Country Club from 6:30-10:30 PM Saturday, September 21, 2019. It will be a special evening of celebration, entertainment, auction and transformational stories of survival, resilience, and hope from our Puerto Rico partners, visiting us from the island. Special musical entertainment will be provided by Fabiola Mendez Trio, led by the first student to graduate with the Puerto Rican Cuatro as the principal instrument from Berklee College of Music.

Proceeds will allow our three partner communities to help the residents of Aguadilla, Cabo Rojo and Punta Santiago continue rebuilding their lives and houses by replacing blue tarps with permanent roofs, replacing household appliances and furniture completely damaged by the hurricane, support the local fishermen in Aguadilla and Punta Santiago who lost their boats and fishing equipment during the hurricane, and much more. Help transform the lives of people severely impacted by Hurricane Maria by contributing to the ongoing recovery efforts.
