Boston Seafarer's Friends Society
An organization whose aim is to meet the spiritual and temporal needs of seafarers by offering a ministry of hospitality, counseling, and personal assistance. It also acts as an advocate for human justice in the maritime industry. An independent organization, but sponsored by churches of the Congregational family and the UCC.
City Mission Society
A multi-service agency which works with the urban poor to improve their quality of life. Material and cash gifts given at Mitten Tree Sunday are donated for the Christmas Shop Program. Suggestions for donations include clothing for all ages, blankets, sheets, towels, toilet articles, toys - all donations must be new and unwrapped. These are taken to several shops in Boston run by CMS where local residents can purchase items at nominal prices.
FISH (Friendly Independent Service and Help)
A volunteer organization that offers Lexington residents one ride per week to appointments in the greater Boston area. Opportunities available for phoners who schedule rides and for drivers (local or Boston) who volunteer their services one day per month. Volunteers can sign up to be a driver or phoner.

East End House
A non profit multi-service center committed to the development of social, cultural, economic, and educational opportunities for residents of East Cambridge. Canned goods and non-perishable food are brought to Pilgrim Church any Sunday and are delivered by a Mission committee member on the first Monday of the month and at other special times such as Thanksgivinig. The food is distributed by East End House to needy people in the area. East End House Volunteers can bring non-perishable food to the church any Sunday morning. The food is collected in the cloak room to the left of the front entrance.

FROM OUR PASTOR
As our Annual Meeting approaches, and I reflected on the various things we've done together in my Pastor's Report, I feel excited. We've had a great year so far. It's been a year of transitions, of beginnings and endings, but I sense excitement and hope when we're together on Sunday mornings and when we perform the business of the church as the body of Christ.
