Confirmation

The Confirmation class meets every other year with ninth and tenth grade students. The program is led by the pastor and youth leaders. We have a basic list of expectations we would like our confirmands to accomplish over the year, and try to expose our students to many areas of church life, including: Christian Education, Mission, Worship, Personal Faith Development, and Interfaith understanding. We follow the UCC Confirmation Curriculum Affirming Faith, and meet at least twice a month to learn and grow together.

***In the hope that Confirmation will be fair and meaningful for all, this Church Life Rubric communicates some of the expectations for being confirmed as a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church UCC. However, just because a confirmand does not meet every single requirement does not mean that he or she will not have the opportunity to be confirmed on May 6. This is an outline of basic expectations, not an exhaustive checklist for church membership.
